Slab\u0161\u00ed model disponuje tak\u00e9 n\u00e1honem na &bdquo;zadek&ldquo;, nicm\u00e9n\u011b u n\u011bj absentuje samosvorn\u00fd diferenci\u00e1l oproti verzi siln\u011bj\u0161\u00ed. Rozd\u00edly mezi nimi tedy nejsou nijak v\u00fdrazn\u00e9, motory samotn\u00e9 se li\u0161\u00ed jen po\u010dtem port\u016f (4 versus 6).\tNejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed k\u00e1men \u00farazu u Mazdy RX-8 je samoz\u0159ejm\u011b ji\u017e zm\u00edn\u011bn\u00fd Wankl\u016fv motor, automobilka uv\u00e1d\u00ed \u017eivotnost cca 150 tis\u00edc km (p\u0159i n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u00e1ch okruh\u016f apod. \u017eivotnost rapidn\u011b kles\u00e1, stejn\u011b tak p\u0159i nedodr\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed pravideln\u00e9 \u00fadr\u017eby) a kompletn\u00ed repasov\u00e1n\u00ed motoru V\u00e1s pak vyjde na n\u011bjak\u00fdch 90 tis\u00edc korun. Dal\u0161\u00edm probl\u00e9mem, tak jak to u Mazdy b\u00fdv\u00e1, je samoz\u0159ejm\u011b koroze, na kterou trp\u00ed v\u00edce model\u016f, nejen &bdquo;er-iks osmi\u010dky&ldquo;.\t\tV\u00fdhodou vlastnictv\u00ed tohohle stroje jsou n\u00edzk\u00e9 n\u00e1klady na poji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed (je to po\u0159\u00e1d pouze 1.3 l), ale tuto v\u00fdhodu V\u00e1m hodn\u011b rychle zneguje spot\u0159eba jak benz\u00ednu, tak oleje (spot\u0159eba oleje je vlastnost Wanklova motoru, nikoli z\u00e1vada). Re\u00e1ln\u011b se budete pohybovat se slab\u0161\u00ed verz\u00ed n\u011bkde okolo 12 a\u017e 13 l, u siln\u011bj\u0161\u00ed je to 1517 l benz\u00ednu na 100 kilometr\u016f.
